Monday Memo

February 8, 2010

Religion-Family Life started today. Chapter 1 is summarized by these concepts: We need to respect ourselves and others; Men and women are different but equal in God's eyes; We are responsible for protecting and nurturing God's gift of life.

Social Studies-Map Skills p. 25 is due Friday. The students have a one question quiz tomorrow on their Lesson 2 study sheet from Chapter 11.

They will receive their Lesson 3 study sheet tomorrow. It should be completed for Wednesday.

English-We are reviewing for the test on adjectives. The test will be on Thursday. They will also have a D.O.L. quiz on Thursday.

Reading-We are continuing to cover reading skills that help unlock the meaning of unfamiliar words.

Spelling/Vocabulary-This week's spelling words should be in their assignment notebooks. We will be working in Lesson 16 in the vocab. text. These words are also on the spelling test.

Math-test Wednesday on division

Science-test Tuesday on vertebrates

Homework

Monday-study for science test/prepare answer for social studies quiz/map skills question(s)/study spelling words

Tuesday-prepare for math test/study lessons 1-5 for adjective assessment in English/map skills/complete Lesson 3 study sheet in s.s./study spelling words

Wednesday-study lessons 1-5 for adjective assessment in English/map skills/study spelling words

Thursday-transfer map skills answers to loose leaf paper/study spelling words

Friday-Have a great weekend!

Other Notes

Conferences are scheduled for this Thursday and next Thursday. This sessions is described as "student involved." This means that you child needs to be present. They will be given an opportunity to have input. If there is a conflict with time and date, please let the office know so that other arrangements can be made.

5G is responsible for the Ash Wednesday mass next week. 5M will be in the choir with them. Please join us if you can.
